The Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team is a community based summer lacrosse team that was established in 2011 and is sponsored by the Stillwater Girls’ Lacrosse Team Booster Organization, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team provides a convenient and affordable local club team experience for Stillwater area high school lacrosse players.
The purpose of the team is to provide high-level summer lacrosse training and game play for Stillwater area high school players during June and July. John Wooden's leadership philosophy is incorporated into the Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team’s training program. Players and coaches will apply Coach Wooden’s definition of success and the character attributes described in his Pyramid of Success in their training and collaborative teamwork.
Team membership will provide exposure to college coaches by traveling to a major college recruiting tournament.

The 2012 Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team membership is open to Stillwater area girls who graduate in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The Team will consist of up to 18 field players and 2 goalies.

Advantages of Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team membership:

The team will travel to Chicago, IL July 26th -29th to compete in the Indian Prairie Showdown.

Practice close to home. All practice sessions will be held at Stillwater Area High School on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 12th to July 26th.

Play summer lacrosse close to home. Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team members will play in the East Metro 5 v 5 League at Stillwater Area High School on Wednesday evenings June 13th to July 25th.

No club team fee. Lower cost than year round club teams! The financial commitment includes the cost of participating in Stillwater M.A.D. Pony Summer Lacrosse Training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the East Metro 5 v 5 League and travel/lodging costs for the Indian Prairie Showdown Tournament.

Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team membership is open to Stillwater Area High School Girls’ Lacrosse players who are members of the Minnesota Lakers, Minnesota Elite and Minnesota Frost Club teams. Participating in summer lacrosse training and tournament play with your high school teammates is proven to improve your high school team.

The lower cost summer only concept is ideal for multisport athletes who participate in fall and/or winter spots.

Coaching provided by Stillwater Area High School Head Coach Rick Reidt and former John Marshall/Lourdes High School Head Maureen Sanderson.

Team members will be selected by application and high school coach recommendation.

Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team Members Agree To:

Attend a minimum of 6 of 12 training sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from June 12th to July 26th.

Play in a minimum of 4 of 6 the East Metro 5 v 5 Wednesday night games from June 13th to July 25th.

US Lacrosse membership is required.

How to Apply for the Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team:

Register early, as the team is limited to 18 field players and two goalies. Click Register Online located on the left side of the home page. Registration will close on April 15th.

Click Begin Registration under 2012 Stillwater Lacrosse Club Team to complete the application.

Use the online PayPal system to pay the refundable $150 club fee initial payment. Your team spot will be reserved after approval of your application and recommendation provided by your high school coach. If you are not selected for the team your fee will be fully refunded. If you are selected for team membership the $150 fee will be applied to your Indian Prairie Showdown fee that is estimated at $400.00.

The total cost of team participation includes fees for 2012 M.A.D. Pony Summer Lacrosse training ($80.00-$140.00), East Metro 5 v 5 Summer League ($65.00) and Indian Prairie Showdown costs that include coach bus transportation, lodging and tournament costs (estimated at $400.00 – this fee could be lower based on fundraising efforts).
